FIFA World Cup 2018/2022

The FIFA World cup, which happens to be the world's most popular and viewed event is what everyone's buzzing about today. Why? Because, today's the day when countries bid their final pleas to be able to host the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup. The host for 2014 is Brazil which was announced on 7 March 2003 in case you're wondering .

For 2018, the countries competing for the honor of hosting the World Cup are England, Spain/Portugal, Russia and Belgium/Netherlands. Whereas, for 2022 the countries competing happen to be Australia, the United States, South Korea, Japan and Qatar.

Of course, like almost every event in the world there had to be some sort of controversy surrounding the World Cup bidding. Reyland Temarri a French FIFA vice-president, and Amos Adamu a Nigerian member on the committee, were suspended after an investigation according to which they had agreed to vote for countries bidding for the World Cup in exchange for cash.

Another fact about the 2018 World Cup is that the number of bids recieved for it have made it the most contested bid in FIFA's history.

I''ll write an update as soon as the winner is announced. Lets see who wins.
